I would like to have Google make the conversion available, so I can retrofit it in a hybrid car.

Power plants are much easier to maintain and regulate than individual vehicles. And, as mentioned below, there are plenty of places with clean fuel alternatives. I don't advocate burning coal or oil for electricity - but how about garbage? Or maybe biodigesters from feedlots and dairies?

Good things don't come "easy".

I totally agree..If you had a strong arm on a product or market, you'd be upset too if someone came along with a proven device that not only works better than your item yet it's better for our planet. Water4fuel,info

I love James Woolsey's description of the coalition of people who support new, little-to-no-gasoline technologies. It's true that there's a big coalition of people who want this, and that enables change.

You can use electricity from whatever other source - wind, solar, tidal, geothermal, nuclear.
You don't have alternatives for oil.
You may also feel free to ignore the global warming shtick - it's much more of an issue that the oil price isn't really going down and that drilling in the ANWR is a drop in the bucket. Think of the wallets, not of the whales.

We had American-made EV1, powered by American electricity. But GM took them away, crushed them, and drove us to buy Toyota RAV4-EV.
GM is hooked on oil.

Sock puppets are paid by GM or Big Oil to blather the same old lies.
Wake up! This is a big issue, whether we stay enslaved to foreign oil dictators.
These dumb posters are putting the money they get paid above common sense.
Solar power and plug-in cars, it works for hundreds of us. Why not you??
